Climbing 2009

10 January - Bangor With Laurent we went to Bangor to send few classics routes. We sent a nice slab graded 23 ... tope roped.

18 January - The Fear Factory Few times I tried to avoid to go to Fear Factory ... because of the fear maybe. This time Franck and me went there to check out if we could find something not too scary. Nice and cool problems instead!

22 February - Sissy Crag I wanted to show to Fred one of the best bouldering crag in Australia. We tried few classics problems.

24 February - Nowra The first stop of the climbing tour in Australia was Nowra. Superb place for sport climbing. The Sholhaven river is placed along the crags and is idealy used for bouldering over the water. Fred did not like the moskies.

26 February - Frontline We went to Frontline and met Laurent and Nico for a night session. We sent the classic one. I Flashed Sloperdan Milosevic V5.

27 February - Shipley Upper / Blue Mountains Fantastic day at Shipley Upper in Blackheath. Weather was great and the ambition as well. We sent super classics routes.

28 February - Big Top First time we have been in Big Top with Laurent and Fred. It has been a great surprise to see this amazing cliff. We spent the day on the same piece of rock, but we planed to come back and to do the classic crack routes.

01 March - The Fear Factory Another trip to Fear Factory with Fred, Laurent and Franck. Great time with a great team. We sent classic problems including Liquorice Arete (v5), Sounds of Seduction {v2), and worked on Blunt Instrument (v3+), Sports Rots (v6).

08 March - Clovelly Laurent, Nico and me decided to investigate some 'water soloing' in Clovelly. Nice spot with potential bouldery problems.

18 March - The Block Cool crag but a little bit too small. With Laurent we sent Ugly Arete {v2), Big Artie {v3), State Of Origin {v3) and Teddybear's Picnic {v4). We worked more than 1 hour in the dark, with head lamps, on The Brown (v6): superb problem!

22 March - Centennial Glen First time with Laurent we have been working on steep routes. We sent awesome routes like Junket Pumper (24), Disintegrator (24) and Horrace Herrod (25).

08 June - Big Top This week end we have been very brave and faced the cold winter. I made up a short film with Franck climbing a 19ish route (6a) and Nico at the belay. Great climb on an amazing wall.

26 September - Centennial Glen That was a crazy to for those who wanted to go climbing. It was basically 0 degrees and with Laurent we could not feel our fingers in Jaws 21/6b+. Then you thought we could give a try in a 24ish route, but Salubrious Sewerage was in fact graded 27 (7c).

27 September - Freshwater We went to Freshwater looking new boulders, new problems. We found Holy problems !!! Awesome boulders on the beach, then along the footpath and finally a great roofy problem nearby the ocean. Great day !

03 October - Grampians With Laurent, Nico and Franck we organised a 4 days rock climbing trip in the Grampians. We went to the best classic crags, including Taipan Wall. We actually tried in top rope "Serpentine (29)". Great week end with a great weather ... pretty cold though.

17 October - Narrabeen Steep First time we came to this crag. Amazing steep routes. The best crag in Sydney if you love the steep stuff. We sent one 17, one 20, one 21, two 22, two 23 and one 24.

31 October - Blue Bell Second visit to this crag. With Laurent we wanted to send the hardest routes. So we went to the Main wall and sent one 21, three 23 and worked on one 25. Awesome crag.

28 November - Black Cave We heard there was nice problems at the Black Cave on Forty Basket Beach. We found a very nice one and started to work on it, when 3 guys arrived and told us that was a unnamed v7.
